Airborne!

I am currently cruising above 10,000 feet from Atlanta to Boston and wont be landing for at least another hour...

To back track a bit, last week seems like a year ago because of everything that happened.  Finals were a bit rough, cleaning out my room and packing up my life in the middle of the school year was weird, and saying good byes were not fun and still don't seem real yet.

This past weekend was a much needed get away, forget about finals exciting little adventure to Monterey, CA with my best friend Risa Tillman.  We ended up being graciously taken in by the Tillman's family friends Rob and Billie and their dog Bailey.  We packed a lot into four days and the best part was that the constant rain storm did not stop us one bit!

In this past weekend we:
- watched surfers in Santa Cruz (the rumors are true, people in california really do surf all the time)
- ate at the greatest little Brazilian restaurant, Cafe Brazil
- explored Monterey which included a tour through Cannery Row and watching seals on the beach
- drove 17 mile drive around Pebble Beach with lots of stops along the way
- took in the cute cottages of Carmel and got free hand scrubs at a store downtown
- went to church with people in swim trunks and a pastor in a hawaiian shirt, definitely not something you would find in New England
- drove along the coast to Big Sur state park to see the water fall and some giant red woods
- toured Carmel Mission (not as exciting as you'd think...)
- took the scenic route to San Francisco
- walked along the Golden Gate Bridge
- ate in little Italy, drove through China town, Choit tower, Castro, and saw some great victorian houses

And finally, Risa and I got travel to the east coast together which was a fun first for us and will definitely not be the last.

Here are some pictures!
